This is unfortunate that almost every time I come into this store I have problems. Maybe I should find another one somewhere else or just take my happy tail to Marshalls or TJ Maxx. Peebles is very convenient for me and my WHOLE family shops there. Even my husband has a credit card. All I can say is....what a shame!
Now, let's talk about this Peebles store. It seems as if almost every time I come into this store, there is sometimes a confusion with the price or coupon usage. Today, I walked in and ask a lady behind the counter (I later found out I was speaking to the manager) what I could use my clearance coupons on. I even mentioned YES! items. Keep in mind I have had problems with this before, so I was going to be sure I knew what was applicable towards this coupon so I didn't get my heart broke at check out. The lady stated CLEARLY that the 50% coupon I had could be used towards any clearance item AND YES! item in the store, but YES! items were only applicable on Tuesdays. Needless to say, my heart was broke at check out.

First of all, let's start off with something positive! I love Peebles clothes. The quality of the clothing is high quality for a fraction of the price.
The store nice, the foreign cashier way too much. No means No lady.
Let's back up a step. I also brought a shirt up to the counter that was messed up. Yes, it was maybe my fault for not being more careful when putting it back on the hanger, but it also wasn't very high quality material (the regular price for the shirt was $10..not discounted..not anything). The clerks facial expression was if I had ran through the store with gallons of paint, destroying thousands of dollars worth of clothing. Lesson learned--- just hang it back up amd forget about it. Heck with doing the right thing.
I enjoy shopping at Peebles. Helpful associates. Good place to browse.
This place is a joke to work for. The pay is not worth what you do and have to put up from management and customers. If your in high school or just needing something temporally apply but do not think about having a career with Peebles or any Stage Store branch. I worked there for 3 years and I saw the most shadiest people come in and out of that place working. We went through 2 general managers, which both where completely corrupt, 3 Store managers and endless associates. They also like to lay off and terminate people that have been there for 8+ years. They accuse staff for stealing when it is obviously the customers but you will never see and store manager go after a thief they make the younger and newer employee do it. The deals are good if you wait a year and stack your coupons but you can buy the exact same brands and clothing from different stores without coupons and even without employee discount. This use to be a pleasant store to shop in and work in, but with all the people in there not caring and not doing their job it has turned to complete trash.
